Sending a Glow newsletter, made simple.
Resend is the tool Glow uses to send newsletters to your subscribers. This page walks you through it one step at a time, and gives you ready-made French and English designs that are already saved in Resend.
Start here
Two minutes of orientation before the steps, so nothing feels unfamiliar.
Two kinds of email — don't mix them
Resend is for messages to many people at once: newsletters, announcements, retreat updates, offers.
Infomaniak is your normal inbox for one-to-one email (replying to a client, writing to the hotel). Everyday email is never sent from Resend.
What you'll need
- Your Resend login (from the password vault)
- An audience — your subscriber list (already set up)
- A saved Glow template in Resend, or a copy from this page
- Ten focused minutes for editing and testing
Choose the right template
Start with the purpose of the email. The design should support the message, not make the message harder to read.
Use for weekly or monthly studio news: class focus, schedule notes, small offers, and teacher reminders. This is the safest default newsletter.
Use when Sarah wants to write a more personal note. Good for monthly reflections, community updates, and a softer founder message.
Use when there is one clear piece of news: a new class, schedule change, waitlist, closure, or short practical update.
Use for workshops, open houses, special classes, or any email where the date and RSVP are the main point.
Use for retreat launches or retreat reminders. It gives space for location, dates, price, inclusions, and one booking button.
Use for holidays, new year, thank-you notes, gift cards, and warm seasonal messages. Keep it short.
Use only when there is a real offer, code, deadline, or discount. Keep one CTA and make the expiry date clear.
Use the FR template for the French audience and the EN template for the English audience. Avoid mixing both languages in one send.
Log in first
Open Resend in your browser and sign in. Keep this guide open in another tab so you can follow along.
Where to go
Your password is in the shared vault. If you can't get in, ask for vault access — never request the password by email or chat.
Three words to know
- Audience — your subscriber list. People who sign up on the website land here automatically.
- Broadcast — one newsletter you send to an audience.
- From address — who it appears to come from, e.g. Glow Pilates <newsletter@glowpilates.ch>.
Send a newsletter, step by step
Follow these in order. The first time takes a few minutes; after that it's quick.
- Log in to ResendGo to resend.com/login and sign in with the Glow account.
- Open "Broadcasts"In the left-hand menu, click Broadcasts. This is the home for newsletters.
- Click "Create" / "New broadcast"A new, empty newsletter opens with a few boxes to fill in at the top.
- Choose your audienceIn the To / Audience box, pick the Glow subscriber list. This is who will receive it.
- Set the "From" name and addressUse a friendly name and a Glow address, e.g. Glow Pilates <newsletter@glowpilates.ch>. Keep it the same each time so people recognise you.
- Write the subject lineThis is the headline people see in their inbox. Keep it short and warm. There may also be a preview text box for the little line shown next to the subject.
- Choose a Glow templateIf Resend offers a template picker, choose one of the saved Glow templates. If not, switch the editor to HTML / Code so you can paste one from this page.
- Pick the right French or English designUse Choose the right template above. For the HTML route, scroll to Templates, press Preview if you want to check it, then press Copy.
- Apply the designIf you chose a saved Resend template, insert it. If you copied HTML from this page, click inside the code box, paste (Ctrl/Cmd + V), then switch back to the normal editor.
- Change the words and photosReplace the example text with your own and swap the placeholder photos for real Glow images. See Editing tips just below.
- Send a test to yourselfUse Send test with your own email. Open it on your phone and computer. Check spelling, links, photos, and the Unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Send now, or schedule itWhen it looks right, press Send to send to everyone, or Schedule to pick a date and time. That's it — you've sent a newsletter.

Editing your template
After you paste a template into Resend, you make it yours. You can edit straight in Resend's normal editor, or tweak the HTML. Here's the everyday stuff.
Change the words
Click any text in the design view and type over it. Keep it short and warm. The grey example sentences are just prompts — replace them all.
Swap a photo
Click a placeholder image and choose Replace to upload a real Glow photo, or paste a web link to the image. Keep photos bright, landscape, and under ~1 MB.
Change a button link
Click a button (e.g. "Je réserve ma place") and update its link to the right page, such as glowpilates.ch/schedule or a retreat page.
Colours & fonts
You don't need to touch these — every template already uses the Glow colours. Leave them as they are for a consistent look.
Keeping the audience updated
Most of the time, there is nothing to do. Website signups go into Resend automatically. Only update Bsport contacts once a month or before an important newsletter.
The simple rule
Only import Bsport people who accepted email marketing.
Never import the full customer list.
Where it goes
Always import into the existing Resend Newsletter segment.
Do not create a new segment.
Monthly Bsport update
- Export from BsportUse the list filtered to people who accepted email marketing/newsletter messages.
- Clean the fileDelete rows with no email. If an email looks like a platform/test address, or the row has no bookings and no payments, ask before importing it.
- Open Resend NewsletterGo to Resend → Audience → Segments → Newsletter.
- Import the fileMap only email, first name, and last name.
- Keep unsubscribesIf Resend asks, do not force people back to subscribed.
Before you press send
A 30-second check that saves you from the little things.
- I sent a test to myself and opened it on phone and computer.
- The subject line is spelled right and sounds like Glow.
- All the example text has been replaced with my words.
- The photos show up and look good (no grey placeholders).
- Every button and link goes to the right page.
- The Unsubscribe line is still at the bottom.
- The right audience is selected in the "To" box.
- If this is my first send to the whole list, I asked someone to glance at it too.
